Prior to joining Monsanto Company, Stephanie spent about 13 years working in the U.S.Government advancing trade interests for U.S. agriculture abroad. Most recently, Stephanie worked as Director of Agricultural Affairs for the Executive Office of the President, Office of the U.S.
Trade Representative serving as the agricultural affairs negotiator for bilateral sanitary and phyto sanitary issues and market access issues:identifying needs and emerging issues, developing negotiating positions and strategies, and leading interagency teams to advance U.S. trade interests in bilateral and multilateral fora.
Before joining USTR, Stephanie worked in the Foreign Agricultural Service of the U.S.Department of Agriculture both in the FAS Office of Negotiations and Agreements and in the FAS Office of Global Analysis program areas. Prior to her time working for the U.S.Administration, Stephanie served as a consultant to the International Food Policy Research Institute and spent time in Santiago, Chile teaching English.
Stephanie did graduate work at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and at the George Washington University and received her B.A. in International Affairs and in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Stephanie was born and raised in Auburn,Ohio.
Stephanie resides in Maryland with her husband, Paul, and their children, Jack, Gabi, and Carter.
